rolling out the red carpet!
Two years of planning, twelve months of construction, and endless nights & weekends of cleaning and preparing has brought a priceless result. We were honored when 5 very special ladies trusted us to plan their September Supper Club. This would be the premiere event in our new space and had to be "tres magnifique!"
The hostesses chose "Evening in Paris" as their theme. We created a traditional French menu for them to consider. They thought it sounded delicious, so we then asked our chef, Cristen Story to consider our suggestions. She cooked the meal for her husband Jamie and he gave it his seal of approval!
We then went straight to work on the invitations. The ladies were pleased with the proof and even happier when we told them we would take care of addressing the envelopes and printing their place cards.
There were so many details to deliberate... which china patterns to use, centerpieces to consider... Katie and I were on cloud nine!
A very special thanks to our dear friend, Shannon Flemmer, who helped us handwash over 1,000 pieces of antique china. That was quite the chore and we could not have done it without her!
Monday, the 26th, was the shortest day of our lives. At 5:30 PM, Sharmon and Walter suggested Susie might want to try and improve her hair... Maybe apply a little makeup.
Cristen and her team prepared a Michelin star worthy meal while looking cool and confident. Mrs. Sheron Joiner lent her expertise on organic and farm to table productions - her help and advice were invaluable! Sharmon managed to incorporate her Hermès scarf and diamonds.. a true bon vivant! And thank goodness for our mechanical engineer, Leah.. We would have never figured out how to use the plastic wrap dispenser!
Our guests had a wonderful time socializing. And our Supper Club hostesses assured us the evening was "a resounding success!"
Our most sincere thanks to this delightful group for trusting us with their special evening, and to everyone on our team who worked so hard to make it, as one guest said, "a perfect night." We look forward to many more celebrations in Hahira!
